Radha Ashtami
Radha-Ashtami celebrates the appearance day of Srimati Radharani, the eternal consort of Lord Krishna. She is worshipped as the embodiment of devotional love (bhakti).
Scriptural sources such as the Bhagavata Purana and Gaudiya Vaishnava writings describe Radha's intimate pastimes with Krishna, symbolising the soul’s longing for the Supreme.
ISKCON celebrates the day with special kirtans, evening assemblies, and readings focused on Radha's loving exchanges with Krishna.
Temples are decorated with flowers and lamps; devotees offer devotional songs, flower offerings, and distribute prasadam to visitors.
At ISKCON Ahilya Nagar we host a special kirtan and discourse, followed by prasadam distribution and opportunities for devotees to participate in seva.
How ISKCON Celebrates
At ISKCON Ahilya Nagar we celebrate with kirtan, scriptural discourses, community feasts and devotional service. All are welcome.
